Excellent staff who kindly escorted me to the room and offered to help with bags, Thomas showed me an exit I could easily use to go out to a lovely patio area, the room and some nice little touches and was really clean. I had the full English breakfast and it was amazing and didn’t need lunch that day.

For travellers on the A66 between England and Scotland, this recently renovated village inn, just off the A66, offers a welcome change from standard chain hotels. Managed by an enthusiastic young couple, with a friendly and helpful staff, this inn is the focal point for the local community. Excellent home cooked food and a welcoming atmosphere are important elements in this success. For guests, the bedrooms, although smallish, have been comfortably furnished and well-equipped, as are the en-suite bathrooms - ours having a good-sized shower.

Breakfast was sufficient, delicious and well cooked, together with choices of juice, cereals and hot drinks. Facilities were, clean, comfortable and quiet. Pub bar was comfortable, cosy and friendly.

The new crown inn is a very nice little place in a quiet village. Very nicely decorated and presented throughout. Nice tea tray with kettle and biscuits, the bathroom was very nice. The bed was very comfortable overall. Plenty of storage with the large wardrobe. Free parking, and key provided for access late at night as we're going to a wedding nearby.

Some of the staff really friendly e.g lady behind the bar when we arrived and whoever served the evening meal. Pub garden was lovely and pub regulars really friendly.

The Inn was beautifully presented and the staff all welcoming. The bedroom with en-suite was furnished to a high standard with excellent toiletries provided. Enjoyed 4 nights in comfortable bed. The food was excellent with good choices.

Family run. Everyone was so welcoming and accommodating. I can't praise this gorgeous place enough! Food was outstanding too. I only had a small single room but it was super cozy! Extra thank you to Thomas and a super special mention to Georgia who was so lovely. As a woman travelling alone, staff are so important and she was amazing! Lovely locals too

Bedroom was pristine, not a smear to be seen on the shower cubicle in the en-suite so you can tell the staff take extra care. Yes your above the Bar area which was noisy on a Friday night but it all stopped at 11pm. The breakfasts was hot and tasty. Loved the Eggs Benedict.

Recently refurbished rooms, spotlessly clean and a really comfortable bed. Good pub menu for dinner, and an excellent ( and generous) breakfast. Plenty of parking right outside. Very friendly landlord/ staff. Excellent value - I would happily go back/recommend.
